Here's a good reason to stay out of the stock market. Caterpillar, a stalwart company, had a Board of Directors that didn't do its job. It had management that didn't do its job. It lost billions of dollars. I wonder if any of this money was taxpayer money? Bet no member of the Board of Directors or management will lose their job over this. That'd be too easy.
