BORDER BREACH - HERE COME 'DA DRUGS - AND TERRORISTS TOO

A week ago NumbersUSA was given this video exposing a major breach in the U.S./Mexico border fence. The location of this breach is about 100 miles SW of Tucson. But if it's this easy, you have to know it's going on in other sections of the fence.

NumbersUSA checked the authenticity of the video with the Department of Homeland Security. DHS has confirmed that the video is real and was taken recently. DHS has determined that with the clothes the people are wearing, their backpacks and other things they are carrying, they are definitely drug smugglers. DHS estimates the "haul" to be hundreds of pounds of illegal drugs.

DHS Sec. Napolitano has spouted off repeatedly claiming the border is more secure now that it has ever been. Napolitano and her Boss brag about fewer border crossings and how effective the increase in border agent numbers has been. But where are the border patrol agents in this video? They can't report illegal crossings that they don't witness. No wonder Napolitano believes her own rhetoric. She's reporting only what the border agents know about.  Obviously, despite claims by the Obama Robots, the border is not secure.

The fence in this video was built by the Bush Administration and was part of a $1 billion Boeing contract.  The fence was designed and built to do exactly what the smugglers did.  The panels slide up and down inside two steel columns.  Who knows what the Bush/Boeing reasoning was behind this design.  Maybe they thought they’d make it easy for border agents to go back and forth so they could chase the bad guys.  Who knows?  But wouldn’t you think that someone in government or the engineers at Boeing would have realized that if they did not WELD the panels in place, the bad guys would be able to violate the fence at any location along the fence?  So much for the effectiveness of the so-called border fence.

Drugs flowing into our country are bad enough.  What about illegal immigrants just raising the fence and they’re in?  And even worse is the threat to our national security, terrorists whose only goal is to kill us?  The TSA is so worried about airport security they molest old ladies and small children.  But the REAL threat is on our southern border, in spite of what Obama and Napolitano are telling you.

9/11 AND OUR CIVIL LIBERTIES

Ten years ago four teams of hijackers walked past security at major airports and hijacked four aircraft. They crashed two of them into the Twin Towers, one into the Pentagon, and one that was intended for the Capital building went down in the Pennsylvania countryside. Thousands of innocent Americans lost their lives that day. 34% of Americans say that the events of 9/11/01 directly affected their family or their friends. It was a massive attack.

On that day watching the events on TV as the Towers were hit, first one, then the other, and shortly after seeing them both fall to the ground, the roiling clouds of toxic dust advancing through the streets, people scrambling to get out of its path, bodies falling or jumping from the Towers, and the horror set in, the fear, questioning how anyone could hate America so much that they would take the lives of so many innocent people and be willing to give their lives in the process.

And I wept.

As the days and weeks wore on, and the recovery efforts continued, I knew that our country would never be the same. Things were about to change.

And so they have.

We’ve orchestrated two wars, Iraq and Afghanistan that have contributed trillions to our national debt, with no clear goal or exit strategy. We are now in Libya, running up the debt even more, without Congressional approval, without a clear agenda or exit strategy. We’ve seen the Middle East literally blow up. No one yet knows how these events will affect us. But I believe we better be careful whose side we take in these volatile countries. There have been reports that the very terrorists who want us dead and are killing our Military personnel are now reaping the rewards of American tax dollars flowing into their countries due to fraud and corruption. They are, after all, rebels, ousting ruthless dictators. But what happens if the “rebel” label has “terrorist” after it? We don’t know who any of them are. Remember, the terrorists that murdered Americans 10 years ago were mostly from Saudi Arabia, young men from middle income families, with an absolute hatred of the West and America in particular.

The events of 9/11 are responsible for the enactment of the USA Patriot Act and subsequent presidential “executive orders,” directives and regulations that greatly infringe upon freedoms that were once guaranteed to Americans. Yet many of us don’t realize the scope of what we have lost. Here are just some of the things we’ve given up, like sheep being led to the slaughter.

1st Amendment Freedom of Speech: The PA broadly expands the definition of terrorism. Many domestic groups that engage in nonviolent civil disobedience can now be targeted as terrorists. It has also become a crime for librarians or keepers of records to try to safeguard your privacy or tell you that you are under investigation. If the Government comes calling, the record keepers have to release information they may have on you, and they cannot tell you that Uncle Sam asked for it.

1st Amendment Freedom of Association: Religious and political groups can now be monitored and infiltrated, aptly called “domestic spying,” even though they have done nothing suspicious or criminal. The government can investigate you simply for being a member of a group the government doesn’t like.

1st Amendment Right to Access Government Information: The US DOJ has directed federal, state and local officials to limit access to government records requested through the Freedom of Information Act.

4th Amendment Freedom From Unreasonable Searches & Seizures: Authorities have the right to conduct secret wiretaps and searches in your home or office without showing “probable cause.” They can track your phone calls, credit card transactions, cell phone calls, text msgs, where you go on the Internet, of every American, just by claiming they have “a significant purpose” for doing so. They don’t have to state the purpose. Authorities can now demand your personal records held by your doctors, employer, accountant or library. They only need to say it pertains to “terrorism.”

5th Amendment Right to Due Process: Americans can now be jailed without a formal charge and without the right to confront witnesses or evidence against them. All in the name of “terrorism.”

6th Amendment Right to Legal Representation: Hundreds of U. S. residents have been detained for months at a time being denied access to an attorney. Officials can now monitor conversations between attorneys and clients in federal jails.

6th Amendment Right to a Speedy Trial: U.S. Government can now jail Americans indefinitely without charge or public trial.

In the last year Obama issued an order that it’s okay to kill American citizens residing in foreign countries who are suspected of terrorism. No trial, no innocent until proven guilty, no rights of any kind, not even residency at Gitmo. Just poof, and they are eliminated. The key words here are “American Citizen.” Non-citizens are not afforded rights to our legal system or our Constitution. But Americans are protected by our Constitution. Yes, Obama has issued this order. But Bush was responsible for the Patriot Act which gave subsequent administrations unbridled power. Let's not lay all of the blame in one place.

And then there are the surveillance cameras in so many public places. And body scans, groping, remove your shoes, remove your belts, practically remove your clothes, at airports, and you better not pack anything liquid in your carry-on luggage. It will be confiscated.

So yes, 9/11 and the fanatical perpetrators are directly responsible for great curtailment of our civil liberties. And we’ve quietly let the Government do it in the name of “security.” Today, as I watched the memorial services in Pennsylvania, at the Twin Towers and at the Pentagon, I was reminded of all that we have lost.

And I wept.

TSA, ALL TOUCHY-FEELY

You had to know the new TSA "enhanced pat down" at airports was coming. Sure, there are terrorists out there who want us dead. But the TSA is molesting children, teens and grannies without being able to demonstrate in any way that this gross violation of our Fourth Amendment is improving air travel safety. Below is a video of a bladder cancer survivor who was "patted down" so aggressively that his ostomy bag came loose and spilled urine on his clothes.

There is also a video of a child being stripped to search under his shirt and a video of a mom who says her pat down amounted to being molested.

There is also the case of the American Airlines flight attendant who is a breast cancer survivor who was forced to remove her prosthetic breast during a pat down. She is a 32 year veteran of American Airlines. No video on her yet but if I find one I will post it.

Of course, you can always elect to go through the full body scanner instead of a pat down. That works unless the scanner goes off, then a pat down is mandatory or you can't fly. And if you decide not to fly and leave the airport you can be fined $11,000. So which third world country are we living in?

The government says the scanners are "safe," no danger from excessive radiation. Yeah, right. How many times has the government declared something safe only to remove it from the market a few years later claiming it's now a hazard? If you are a frequent flier you should be very concerned about being irradiated.

And they won't save any scanner images? Well, there's one case where 30,000 of them were saved, along with names and other personal information.

This is just another incident of the snake oil salesmen occupying the end of Pennsylvania Ave stealing yet another freedom. The public is always willing to give up their rights if they can be scared into doing so. Don't act like sheep being led to the slaughter. The government has no right to molest you because you want to fly.

DON'T TOUCH MY JUNK!

Ah, the refreshing words of a true American who objects to being officially assaulted by the TSA. The "junk" reference was stated by a gentleman at a US airport who refused the full body scan because he didn't want "someone to see me naked." He was told okay, then you will get a full body pat down. The procedure was explained to him, and when the TSA groper said "I go up and down your hips and groin twice," the guy expressed his displeasure: "Okay," he said, "but don't touch my junk or I will have you arrested."

At that point TSA management was called. The gentleman was given a choice. Submit to the TSA caress or don't fly. He chose not to fly and left the airport. The airline refunded his ticket in full. But now he's being threatened with an $11,000 fine, which is ALLOWED AND LEGAL under national security rules. If you don't believe it Google it.

Does anyone else think this is "third world?" Israel doesn't do this, and they are on terrorist alert 24 hours of every day. They -- oh my gosh, the politically incorrect word -- racial profile! And it works for them. But thanks to the far left PC crowd, that's not allowed.

What makes more sense? Pat down a 3 year old child, a gray haired grandmother, a family of 6, or a 20 year old Muslim traveling to or from Yemen or Saudi Arabia, or any other country that breeds terrorists? Look at this video of a child being physically searched. Would you like it to be your child? Do you think a child going through this would ever want to go to an airport again?

Now do you want to hear what the "don't touch my junk" passenger said?

Want to know which third-world bureaucrat approved of this? Obama and his travel czar, Janet Napolitano. And today Janet dropped the big hint. Muslim women wearing head scarves may become exempt from full body scans and/or full body pat downs. This is after a major Muslim group complained to the Obama about the action being instrusive. Janet says changes to the policy are being considered. Wanna bet how this plays out?

For me? I will travel by car, train, bus or anything but a plane.

And you really want to know how "safe" your full body scan is from public viewing? Last year the TSA "accidentally" posted its 93-page manual on airport screening procedures online. Makes me real confident that they can keep body scans private, huh?
