OBAMACARE MANDATES KICKIN' IN - UP GO YOUR PREMIUMS
Chipping away at morals and values, one sliver at a time. Remember when Obamacare was being planned behind closed doors in Washington, being hatched, plotted and rammed through in spite of what the public wanted? When Nancy Pelosi said "We have to pass it to see what's in it?" Remember when the subject of abortion came up and Obama and the Dems said, "Oh, No, there is no provision in this bill that lets the government pay for abortions, in fact, they are prohibited." And the skeptics amongst us said "We'll see." Well, now we see. Today the DHHS and Ms. Sebelius mandated coverage for "women's health." They are forcing health insurance companies to cover all birth control methods, voluntary sterilization, emergency contraception (like Ella, Plan B, and morning after abortion pills), breast feeding information and guidance, breast pumps, domestic violence screenings, diabetes screenings, H.I.V testing, HPV testing, annual wellness checks, etc., etc. Morning after abortion, anyone?
Insurance providers are now forced by Obama to provide this coverage to ALL women, rich, poor or otherwise, without co-payments, deductibles or any other charges. Now who do you think is going to pay for this? It isn't the government. The government is BROKE. Oh, you think the insurance companies will pick up the cost? You think so? Really? Seriously? Think again. This cost is going to be passed along to every American who has health insurance. And soon that will be everyone because we will be "mandated" to have insurance - unless the Supreme Court stops the madness.
We have gone from providing free birth control and womens' health services to poor people to mandating that we subsidize care for those who can afford it, who are currently paying for it themselves, and guess what? We are all going to pay for it whether we use it or not.
It is mandatory coverage. It is not FREE. Insurers will simply raise the cost of the premiums to all of us to pay for this mandate. So you may have no copay or deductible, but watch out, there go your premiums, up, up and away.
And jobs? How many jobs do you think will be lost in the insurance industry due to this mandate? More regulation equals less employment. Wish the inept Socialists running this country realized that.

MICKIE-D SAVED BY "THE DEAL"
Hey, read my post from 10-2 re. McDonald's mini-med policies. Here's the follow up.
Today Obama announced that 30 businesses will get a 1-year exemption from portions of Obamacare. McDonald's is one of the "chosen," the "exempt."
Good for you if you work for one of the chosen companies, but too bad, so sad if you work for any of the other thousands of companies who will be forced to comply with all Obamacare rules.
Right now it's a crap shoot if you are not a chosen employer. You are at the mercy of Obama and Kathleen Sebelius, waiting for them to decide what they like and whom they want to favor.
And what happened to the "lie" we were told that Obamacare would "level the playing field?" This exemption creates exactly what Obama claimed was a problem - an unequal playing field. What does he think this does??
Oh, yes, and there's the administration's promise that if you like your insurance you can keep your insurance. What they didn't tell you is that you can only keep it as long as they allow for "exemptions" from Obamacare. Listen up, Folks, the exemptions granted today are only good for ONE YEAR. Then it is back to the rules.
This just goes to show what can happen when people with absolutely nil experience in anything decide they can govern an industry better than the industry can govern itself.
And this is just the beginning of the spreading malignancy known as Obamacare.
Congratulations, McDonalds and 29 other companies. You just shafted the rest of us.

SHUT UP OR YOU ARE OUT OF BUSINESS
It's pretty evident that the Obama administration is getting very testy over criticism of Obamacare. They are tiring of the griping about the new law by the companies that the law will eventually put out of business. Yesterday HHS Sec Kathleen Sebelius offered to expedite the out-of-business process for those companies who don't shut their mouths.
Sebelius warned the insurance industry that the administration won't tolerate blaming premium hikes on Obamacare. She wrote a letter to the insurance lobby stating, "There will be zero tolerance for this type of misinformation and unjustified rate increases."
She further wrote, "Simply stated we will not stand idly by as insurers blame their premium hikes on the requirement that they provide consumers with basic protections." Whom does she think is supposed to pay for the mandated "basic protections?" Santa Clause?? The Tooth Fairy?? The Easter Bunny?? Oh, I forgot, the ubber rich in America.
She warned that "bad actors" may be excluded from new health insurance markets that will open in 2014 under the law. They'd lose out on a big pool of customers, something like 30 million people nationwide. In other words, SHUT UP OR LOSE YOUR BUSINESS!
What law gives her the right to threaten businesses with black listing them if they don't shut up? Or maybe she is acting at the behest of Mr. Obama, the thin skinned phony in the White House.
Rarely has a Cabinet official told American companies to stay out of political debates at the risk of losing their businesses. Obama and his administration have put themselves in a position where politicians can actually destroy a business out of spite. So businesses beware, don't get on the "bad side" of the Obama shipwreck.
I guess Hope and Change means keeping your mouth shut, pretend everything Obama does is okey dokey, and put on a Happy Face as businesses and jobs rapidly disappear.
