"GUN FREE ZONE?" NO THANK YOU

Journalists and politicians, outspoken champions of gun control, have no problem labeling your child's school a "gun-free zone."

So you would think they have no problem posting a similar sign in their own front yards, right?

You'd be wrong.  Watch their "uncomfortable" reaction when confronted by hidden cameras...

THE OBJECTIONABLE SIGN

THE REST OF THE STORY - BY BOB UNRUH, WND

An undercover video investigation by Project Veritas, whose founder James O’Keefe is widely known for his devastating exposé of ACORN, found that the journalists who recently exposed gun-permit holders in the New York City area were unwilling to take a dose of their own medicine and declare their homes “gun-free zones.”

Project Veritas members posed as members of a gun-control group asking to post anti-gun signs on lawns. The journalists included staffers of the West Nyack, N.Y.-based Journal News, which last month published the names and addresses of thousands of pistol permit holders licensed in the Westchester and Rockland counties area north of New York City.

Four times doors were closed in the faces of the Project Veritas investigators, three times the signs were rejected, twice law enforcement was called to remove them from the property and three times they found armed guards already on site.

Stops by the team included the homes of Newark Star Ledger columnist Bob Braun, Journal News publisher Janet Hasson, reporter Alex Weisler, Journal News Editor Cynthia Lambert and U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder.

O’Keefe’s crew asked journalists whether they would put a sign on their lawn that says “Citizens Against Senseless Violence. THIS HOME IS PROUDLY GUN FREE!”

Uniformly they were denied permission.

O’Keefe, who also previously released a video of a Democrat campaign operative plotting vote fraud, explained he wanted to see how top gun control advocates “felt when placed in the same position as our nation’s children – within a Gun Free Zone.”

“Our nation’s children spend the majority of their week within schools that are starkly emblazoned with signs that read ‘Gun Free Zone.’ Project Veritas put that same concept to the test with some of America’s most fervent advocates for gun control,” he said.

O’Keefe said his team went door-to-door in New York, New Jersey and Washington to see which outspoken champions for gun control would be willing to declare their own home as a “gun free zone.”

“It’s amazing to see members of our media equivocate and contradict their spoken and written words when faced with the dilemma to declare their own homes as gun free,” O’Keefe said. “Surprisingly, we found that the homes of the very New York paper that was willing to put the lives and fortunes of gun owners at risk by publishing their names and addresses, were also the most heavily armed and protected.

“The hypocrisy of New York’s Journal News is beyond words.”

EDUCATION SLUSH FUND

Today Sen. Tom Coburn released a report he compiled called "School House Pork." In the report he stated that lawmakers have secured 5,563 earmarks worth $2.3 billion over the past decade for "education projects." The report states that the federal education programs have been compromised by political interests and are overrun with "education pork."

Allocated money often went to school districts with the best lobbyists. The BEST LOBBYISTS? Good Grief, has everyone in government, including education, completely lost their minds? How absurd for school districts to be using our tax dollars to lobby our government to receive more of our tax dollars.

WELL, I THINK THEY ARE ALL NUTS! Here are some examples of where the Education Slush Fund has spent money. Hang on to your seats, Folks, because this is just a drop in the Great Government Oinker Bucket.

Las Vegas - a school district received a $25,000 earmark for a mariachi music program. HUH?

Jackson State University - a $478,941 earmark to study the creation of a school of osteopathic medicine. But here's the fact. A local newspaper reported that the commissioner of higher education in Mississippi had "no intention" of opening an osteopathic school. REAL SMART

Central Washington University - a $191,593 earmark for "curriculum development" to develop a curriculum based on local wines. LEARN HOW TO DRINK IN COLLEGE!

More than $181 million in earmarks for programs and projects that would bear the name of the lawmaker who introduced the earmark.

This included $1.9 million for the Charles B. Rangel Center for Public Service. (He's the congressman who's been accused of multiple ethics violations and is currently under investigation).

Two earmarks worth more than $19 million for the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the Senate. (He's the senator who murdered Mary Jo Kopechne by allowing her to drown in his car when they went off a bridge on Martha's Vineyard after a night of drinking. So his wife wouldn't find out about his unfaithfulness and his political career wouldn't be destroyed, he left the scene of the accident instead of getting help and saving her life. And he didn't even report the accident until the next morning. Oh, yes, it was all covered up. And he remained in the Senate for his entire life.)

$2.4 million for the Lott Leadership Institute named after former Sen. Trent Lott.

$10 million for the Strom Thurmond Fitness and Wellness Center named after Sen. Strom Thurmond. (Strom Thurmond was a staunch racist and made a lifetime career out of the Senate. His "political career" is great testimony to the need for term limits.)

$2.7 million for 15 earmarks that went to zoos, including a total of $1 million for the Philadelphia Zoo. Hey, go to Philly to visit YOUR zoo. You own part of it!

National Baseball Hall of Fame got $450,000, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame got $200,000, the National Aviation Hall of Fame got $600,000. (All private enterprises.)

$273,000 for a program in Blue Springs, MO aimed at fighting Goth culture.

Over $5 million went to the Andre Agassi College Prep Academy.

Abuse of the Education Slush Fund ensnares and encompasses lawmakers from both parties. All the more reason to throw out the long term incumbents who've been part of this ongoing scam.

But in Washington the Dems want to raise taxes to support their spending.
I say the first thing they need to do is STOP the WASTE and QUIT SPENDING.
YOU'RE FIRED, ALL OF YOU!!!

OBAMA - THE KING WHO DOESN'T CARE

Barack Obama is by far the worst president in American History, and he is the worst threat to this country that we have ever had - from within.

He doesn't care about you, me, or this country. He doesn't care about the horrific crimes perpetrated by illegals, including drunk driving, murders, crimes, robberies, kidnappings, shootings, drugs, stolen cars and car jackings, over-crowded schools, over-crowded hospitals, or the 60,000 anchor babies born each year to illegals, who automatically get to suck from our system just because their parents sneak in here to give birth.

He doesn't give a hoot about any of this, and for all of you who put this horror show in the White House, I hope you are finally "seeing the light" and regret not doing your homework before voting in 2008. Don't know how you missed it when it was so clear to millions of us.

He governs like a third world dictatorship, not America, and I am embarrassed to have him representing us as he travels around the world on his "Apology Tour."

We should be ashamed that we allowed this to happen. While they steal our dignity, our freedoms and our country, we sit idly by and let these clowns overrun everything.

At some point we have to say enough - we have to fight back. That means getting involved in the upcoming elections and voting. We must vote them out before it is too late.
