Two Virginia second graders were suspended for playing good Marine and enemy on the playground. Yea, that's right, one of them used a pencil, pointed it at the other and said "bang, bang." So they were both suspended for playing something every generation of kids has played since the beginning of time, you know, Cops and Robbers, Good Guy and Bad Guy, Cowboys and Indians (excuse me, that's probably not Politically Correct, but frankly, I don't Give A Damn). I do believe society has taken leave of any common sense at all. The Principal went nuts and suspended these two kids (emphasis on the "kids"), and wow, what a good memory they will have of their second grade experience. Talk about idiots, they are alive and well in the Public School System.

Eric Cantor, the #2 Republican in Washington, has changed his mind about the Dream Act. In 2010 he voted against giving children of illegals citizenship. It's a different story now. He's trying to suck up to Hispanics, and in doing that he's now in favor of amnesty for their kids. What a hoot, let's just make everyone who is in this country an immediate "legal!" After all, America is loaded with tax dollars to support their health care, education, Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, and to keep those who act up in prison. Read about it here. GREATEST BOAT LIFT IN HISTORY ON 9-11
This video was created to honor the 10th anniversary of 9/11. It's been available since 9/8/11. I believe millions of Americans have not seen this. I doubt whether it was prominently shown in the media.
This is what America is: doing great, noble and selfless things when called upon. It shows there is great good in the world, no matter how bad it gets. 500,000 civilians were rescued from downtown Manhattan by boat in 9 hours -- an enormous fete, unless you are an American. Watch this soul-touching event. It will make you proud.

OK, KIDS, IT'S TIME TO STUDY - IN ARABIC!
CBS News in Dallas yesterday reported that two Texas schools are going to require students to take classes in Arabic language and culture. Can anyone say Islam? Or religion? Religion would have to be included because that is a big part of the "culture." Oh, yes, being politically correct, of course the classes will be mandatory. And the classes will be paid for by a federal grant. That's YOUR TAX DOLLARS.
And here's what the local Department of Education says to justify this mandatory class. They consider Arabic to be the "language of the future." So does that mean that it will eventually supplant English as the U.S. official language? The schools have stated that they will need to alter their entire curriculum to accommodate the newly mandated classes on Arabic language and culture. So I wonder, which classes have to disappear to make room for this despicable experiment? Math, gone? Science, gone? English, gone? History, gone? There's only so much time in a student's school day.
Well, Woo Hoo, Bring it On!! At least our kids will be able to speak Arabic when Sharia Law becomes the law of the land! Think I'm kidding? Check out this fact. There are already over 50 chapters of the Muslim American Society all over the U.S. The MAS is an arm of the Muslim Brotherhood. The Muslim Brotherhood's stated objective is "the global conquest of Islam." The Muslim Brotherhood is responsible for the formation of Hamas and Al-Qaeda. Al-Qaeda's current commander was a member of the Muslim Brotherhood. Khalid Sheik Mohammad, the mastermind of 9/11, was a member of the Muslim Brotherhood. Google this. Educate yourself. Don't take any body's word for anything. Open your mind.
Now I ask you, what do you think the politically correct outrage would be if public schools wanted to teach Christian "culture" or Mormon "culture" or Jewish "culture" or Buddhist "culture" or any other "culture" where the study plan would even mention a religion?
I do believe studying a foreign language is a good thing. I think most students are already required to take a foreign language at some point in their school career. But aren't they offered a choice and don't they get to decide which language/culture they will study?
It's a pity, isn't it, that we can barely remember when students in our schools focused on subjects such as reading, writing, arithmetic, American History, English and science? Then they were the envy of the world. And now, after decades of socialist, liberal trial and error in the classroom we have ever decreasing test scores, falling ranks among industrialized nations, and kids who can't read, write, speak English, and know nothing about American History and our Founding Fathers.
I do think the Department of Education and local school districts have lost their grip on reality. No wonder Home Schooled students have increased by 75% in the last year.
After protests from parents the Texas schools have put a "hold" on their indoctrination plan. But don't think for a moment that the idea is gone for good. It will rear its ugly head again when the furor is over and the guard is down. After all, there is federal grant money available and it needs to be spent.

EDUCATION SLUSH FUND
Today Sen. Tom Coburn released a report he compiled called "School House Pork." In the report he stated that lawmakers have secured 5,563 earmarks worth $2.3 billion over the past decade for "education projects." The report states that the federal education programs have been compromised by political interests and are overrun with "education pork."
Allocated money often went to school districts with the best lobbyists. The BEST LOBBYISTS? Good Grief, has everyone in government, including education, completely lost their minds? How absurd for school districts to be using our tax dollars to lobby our government to receive more of our tax dollars.
WELL, I THINK THEY ARE ALL NUTS! Here are some examples of where the Education Slush Fund has spent money. Hang on to your seats, Folks, because this is just a drop in the Great Government Oinker Bucket.
Las Vegas - a school district received a $25,000 earmark for a mariachi music program. HUH?
Jackson State University - a $478,941 earmark to study the creation of a school of osteopathic medicine. But here's the fact. A local newspaper reported that the commissioner of higher education in Mississippi had "no intention" of opening an osteopathic school. REAL SMART
Central Washington University - a $191,593 earmark for "curriculum development" to develop a curriculum based on local wines. LEARN HOW TO DRINK IN COLLEGE!
More than $181 million in earmarks for programs and projects that would bear the name of the lawmaker who introduced the earmark.
This included $1.9 million for the Charles B. Rangel Center for Public Service. (He's the congressman who's been accused of multiple ethics violations and is currently under investigation).
Two earmarks worth more than $19 million for the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the Senate. (He's the senator who murdered Mary Jo Kopechne by allowing her to drown in his car when they went off a bridge on Martha's Vineyard after a night of drinking. So his wife wouldn't find out about his unfaithfulness and his political career wouldn't be destroyed, he left the scene of the accident instead of getting help and saving her life. And he didn't even report the accident until the next morning. Oh, yes, it was all covered up. And he remained in the Senate for his entire life.)
$2.4 million for the Lott Leadership Institute named after former Sen. Trent Lott.
$10 million for the Strom Thurmond Fitness and Wellness Center named after Sen. Strom Thurmond. (Strom Thurmond was a staunch racist and made a lifetime career out of the Senate. His "political career" is great testimony to the need for term limits.)
$2.7 million for 15 earmarks that went to zoos, including a total of $1 million for the Philadelphia Zoo. Hey, go to Philly to visit YOUR zoo. You own part of it!
National Baseball Hall of Fame got $450,000, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame got $200,000, the National Aviation Hall of Fame got $600,000. (All private enterprises.)
$273,000 for a program in Blue Springs, MO aimed at fighting Goth culture.
Over $5 million went to the Andre Agassi College Prep Academy.
Abuse of the Education Slush Fund ensnares and encompasses lawmakers from both parties. All the more reason to throw out the long term incumbents who've been part of this ongoing scam.

TAX TSUNAMI #3, THE GREAT BUSINESS BASHER
TAX TSUNAMI #3 will destroy job creation for hundreds of thousands of business. The AMT (Alternative Minimum Tax) currently affects 4 million taxpayers who earn enough that they have to calculate their tax burdens twice and pay taxes at the higher level. This was established in 1969 to catch a handful of taxpayers. With the coming Tax Tsunami #3 this tax will increase the number of affected families to 28.5 million, and you could be one of them. This prediction comes from the Tax Policy Center, a left-leaning think tank.
Small businesses will no longer be able to expense business purchases in the year purchased. Right now businesses can expense (write off the entire cost) equipment rather than depreciate (slowly deduct) it over a period of years. This is a great tax break that allows businesses to use their dollars to hire people and expand their business. But not after January 1, 2011. What it means to a business is that their taxable income will go way up, thus causing them to pay more money to the government rather than retain those funds to HIRE PEOPLE AND CREATE JOBS.
There are hundreds of tax hikes on businesses that will take place on January 1.
There are also scores of changes in hundreds of other taxes and deductions, such as the following:
The deduction for tuition and fees will not be available.
Tax credits for education will be limited.
Teachers will no longer be able to deduct classroom expenses.
Coverdell Education Savings Accounts will be cut.
Employer-provided educational assistance is curtailed.
Student loan interest deduction will not be allowed for hundreds of thousands of families.
The Charitable Contribution from IRAs deduction will not be allowed. (Currently a retired person with an IRA can contribute up to $100,000 per year to a charity with no tax consequence).
This is just scratching the surface of the major tax increases rolling our way on January 1.
