MEANWHILE BACK AT THE WHITE HOUSE --

Did you hear Obama’s State of the Union (campaign) speech this week? Maybe you did, but I watched the first 5 minutes, and that’s all I could stomach. I turned it off after I heard the first reference to “fair share.” I wondered how long it would take for him to get to those two words, and it sure didn’t take long. Turns out he made half a dozen references to his favorite slogan, no surprise there.

But wait, shouldn’t fairness begin at home? An IRS report just out reveals that 36 of President Obama’s executive office staff owe the country $833,970 in back taxes. The Mr. Fair Share-hired-workforce hasn’t paid any taxes, much less their “fair share.”

These Tax Dodger Obama cohorts can’t exactly claim poverty as a reason for not paying their taxes. Reports show that the Obama White House staff includes 457 aides earning more than $37 million last year. That’s up nearly $4 million from the Bush administration’s last year.

More stats for your reading pleasure? One-third of Obama’s aids make more than $100,000 per year, with 21 being paid the top White House salary of $172,200 each. That’s an extremely high wage for anyone, lots of moolah, especially with 20 million Americans unemployed.

And there’s lots more “fair share” to go around. Turns out that the 25,640 U. S. Postal service employees owe nearly $270 million. Employees in the U. S. Senate and the House of Representatives owe more than $10 million. Military personnel owe more than $100 million.

The bottom line as reported by the IRS report is postal workers, congressional staffers, military personnel and federal workers, both active and retired, owe $3,420,168,684 in unpaid taxes for 2010. Yes, that’s over $3 billion. This is an increase of more than 3 percent over the previous year.

When Mr. Fair Share continually castigates the “rich” for paying exactly what the current law says they should, he sounds like an uninformed buffoon. He should concentrate on getting his own White House employees and all other federal employees to pay the “fair share” they currently owe. Collecting $3 billion in back taxes would certainly help in improving our budget picture.

Obama talks about wanting more tax breaks for the middle class. Well, I call this one HUGE tax break for federal employees. If you don’t pay your taxes, that’s a tax break. But if the rest of us didn’t pay our taxes we’d be sitting in front of a federal judge, bingo-bango. Turbo Tax Cheat Timothy Geithner should be instructing the IRS to go get ‘em, now! Oh, I forgot. Turbo Timmy is also a tax cheat.

CHUG-A-CHUG-A CHOO CHOO

Mr. Obama's State of The Union lecture itemized his plans for future "investments" in our infrastructure. He is no longer calling spending what it really is - SPENDING - but now it's all about "INVESTMENTS." He believes changing the terminology will make us all swallow our medicine like good little kiddies. Just pat us on the head, throw some "pork" our way, and we'll be peachy keen. This is the Politics Of Deception taken to its highest level.

But I do believe "infrastructure spending" was a major part of the so-called stimulus plan, and that was sure a big success, wasn't it?

Now he wants to spend billions on developing and building a light rail choo choo system throughout the U.S. But wait, our highway system is deteriorating, bridges are old and collapsing, road beds are falling apart, ramps are crumbling. But Obama's "investment" in infrastructure cannot be spent on our highway system - at least in Wisconsin. It can only be spent on choo choos.

Wisconsin's Governor Scott Walker has turned down $810 million federal tax dollars that Obama wanted to give WI for building the light rail choo choo from Milwaukee to Madison. Walker said NO, WI cannot afford the rest of the money it would take to build it, nor can WI afford to maintain the system after it's completed. The yearly subsidy from WI taxpayers would be $9.7 million. That's because the choo choo system will never pay for itself through ticket prices, and Obama knows it - and so does Governor Walker. But Obama says if you don't spend my gift on choo choo trains, I will give the gift to someone who will. You cannot spend it on improving your roads and highway system. That would not be "green" enough for Obama. And he's doing this nationwide.

Oh, yes, you are so smart to remember. Washington is already in the "train" business? It's called Amtrak. Here's the Amtrack history. Amtrak loses money on 41 of 44 routes. The government subsidizes Amtrak over $1 billion dollars every single year - money gone down the black sink hole of the government run choo choo system.

And why do we need light speed rail everywhere in the U.S.? Because Obama says so. We're told there must be a faster, more frequent, more convenient CARLESS travel alternative. It's all about going green, no matter what it costs the government, which is you, the taxpayer. Obama and Washington simply don't give a hoot and a holler what you think or how much money we don't have.

But this is the TRUTH. The current federal deficit amounts to about $49,000 for every man, woman and child in the U.S. There is an IOU for you, each of your children and grandchildren filed away in the innards of the Federal Reserve. This represents what our lawmakers have wasted on your behalf as of today. And it will continue to get worse every year thanks in part to Obama's spending spree that doesn't stop. Government borrowing for 3 years under Obama budgets (2009-2011) will be more than the first 225 years of our country put together. Our future is being mortgaged at a record pace. And Obama and many in Washington don't care.

Yes, that's right. There are Democrats and Republicans in Washington equally as responsible for the U.S. financial mess as Obama. But he's the President. He is the leader. He should be leading the charge to reduce federal spending dramatically. Instead what do we get?

A freeze of existing federal spending, which is 84% higher than it was when Obama took office. It's scary to think that Obama is so ignorant of economics that he really believes a spending freeze at the current levels will do anything to get us out of this sky-is-falling economic mess.

And along with Obama's "freeze" we get "investment" in light rail choo choos. Chug-a-chug-a choo choo, Obama. Have you forgotten? WE ARE BROKE!! There is NO MONEY for your grandiose plans. So why don't you chug-a-chug-a choo choo right out of Washington. We don't need any more of your "hope and change." It's killin' us.

PRIMA DONNA PROM DATE SAYS "NO"

Rejection, Rejection - Eric Cantor (R-VA) did not get his first-choice date for the Prom. In the spirit of Congress's new Bipartisanship Cantor's aids reached out to Pelosi-the-Pit-Bull to see whether the CA Democrat would sit with the VA Republican during tonight's State of the Union Spectacle.

But alas, this unlikely duo was not to be. Ms. Pelosi already has a date, and so she declined Cantor's advances.

And then Hoity Toity Pelosi "tweeted" her rejection of Cantor's overture and now all of Washington and the world knows she rejected him (ah, poor Eric). (or at least the few people who follow Pelosi's tweets know about it).

Personally? I don't know why Eric Cantor invited Pelosi to be his date for this Hokey Hoe-Down. They are on opposite sides of the political fence, they don't much like each other, they criticize each other regularly, and they don't "pillow talk" very well. Can you imagine a "date" where you don't even like your "date?" I suppose you'd have to skip the chit-chat and stick to the dance. And then try not to step on each others' toes.

Cantor and the rest of the Republicans should completely skip this juvenile spectacle called the State of the Union Address, much less make overtures to the Other Side. After all, most of the Supreme Court members won't be there. They know what a joke it has become - nothing more than a political pep-rally.

The Republicans who have agreed to sit with the Democrats? They have made a monstrous mistake. Last week the Dems were blaming the Reps for the AZ shooting, calling them all kinds of nasty names and blaming them for the shooter's actions. Now the Republicans are all kissy-huggy with them. Yikes, it's time to vomit up the prom punch.
