WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE LIGHTS GO OUT?

OUT GO THE LIGHTS! That's what could happen to America if we fail to get our fiscal house in order. Consequences, there are surely dire consequences for not doing so and continuing along the spending path to certain ruin. And along comes the first big decision the new members of Congress will have to make: To raise the Debt Limit, or Not to raise the Debt Limit.


For those of you who are not into spending more than you earn, here's a short explanation of "The Debt Limit." Congress sets a dollar amount, called The Debt Limit, and the government cannot spend more than the Debt Limit amount set by Congress. When the government commits to MORE DEBT than the amount Congress has set, the President trots on over the Congress and asks, pretty please, will you raise the Debt Limit so we can continue to pay our bills and operate - in short, so we can continue to spend money we don't have.

A history lesson, the Debt Limit has been raised 11 times since 1996. Many of those raises were accompanied by promised spending cuts that never materialized. Same old government spenders, promise anything to get what they want. Same game, different players. Don't you believe one word of any promise to cut spending. It won't happen unless they are forced - and that means DON'T RAISE THE DEBT LIMIT, NO WAY, NO HOW.

And now here we are, Obama wants the Debt Limit raised so the government can continue to fund things like turtle tunnels, studying Chinese prostitutes, sidewalks to nowhere, the purchase of electric golf carts for rich golfers, funds for the National Endowment for the Arts so they can display more pornographic so-called art works, studying why Africans don't vote, money to develop a joke machine, studying how monkeys react to cocaine, the genetic makeup of ants; oh, doesn't it just give you warm fuzzies when you think of all the worthwhile things YOUR money goes for??? And Obama wants more of IT from YOU. He wants Congress to RAISE THE DEBT LIMIT so he can spend more.

But guess what? Obama was AGAINST raising the Debt Limit before he was FOR raising the Debt Limit. In 2006 Obama opposed any Debt Limit increase saying the following: "The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt is a sign of leadership failure. Leadership means the 'the buck stops here.' Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better. I therefore intend to oppose the effort to increase America's debt limit." These are Obama's exact words. Talk about two-faced hypocrisy, he's the King Cobra of the Washington snake pit. If America had a "debt problem" in 2006 what does he think the "debt problem" is now? Leadership failure?? Seems to be describing himself.

You will hear the Dems screaming about what will happen if the Debt Limit is not raised, Armageddon is on the horizon, America will be in default, blah, blah, blah. But you need to know that in 1995 a government shutdown did not cause a stock market crash, and it did not create widespread catastrophe and panic and the end of life as we know it, and the world won't spin off its axis in 2011 in spite of what Obama and his czars want us to believe. Everything is a panic with them. Do it or the world ends. Oh, my gosh!

So now I need to ask, is it wishful thinking to hope for the "change" that the Conservatives promised us in the last election? We spoke loudly and clearly and sent about 75 new people to Washington. We said QUIT SPENDING! AND WE MEANT IT. And now, Folks, they better listen to us. Or they too will be replaced. 2012 is almost here.

THEY DON'T GET IT!

All day today the radio/TV has had pundits proclaiming the demise of the Republican party. Even the Ever Present Gibbs (Obama press secretary) proclaims that the Republicans are destroying themselves with a big split within the party.

Well, I disagree. It's time the Republican party got a good scolding. They have been too non-conservative for too long, many of the Bush years included, and now "the chickens have come home to roost."

So let the mud begin. I mean the mud slinging that O'Donnell is going to have to endure for the next couple of months. You know that the Dems will try to destroy her, but now the Reps too? My, how far we have fallen.

Anything in her past will now become fair game. But at least her past is public, any failures, conflicts, college records, financial records, everything, all out there for public scrutiny.

Unlike Obama's records, ALL OF THEM, which are hermetically sealed in a fruit jar in a secret safe room somewhere, never again to be open to the public. It's a secret, don't you know? After all, he's only the president, the most powerful man in the world. But golly gee, he shouldn't be required to release anything about his past for us, his subjects, to peruse.

So let me give you my position on O'Donnell. Even if she "kicked the husband and the kids and the dog on the way out the door," she'd STILL be less evil than the old RINO's in Washington.

Even if she used campaign funds for something personal, which is just an accusation, it's still far better than the permanently-in-place politicians who continue to pass bogus stimulus (can you say spending) bills by the hundreds, along with health care packages, and union bail outs, just so they can funnel OUR TAX DOLLARS to their equally bogus special interests.

Talk about ethics and the use of money? No one defies ethics better than the RINOs and DEMS in Washington.

RINOS, welcome to the NEW face of the Republican Party. The old men are being replaced with young men and women who are fighting to bring some fiscal responsibility and the Constitution back to Washington.

The old men don't know how to combat this revival of the party and they are running scared.
I say keep running and Good Riddance.

Amendment 28 - Ignored by Congress

Just received some interesting info, folks.

The 28th Amendment reads "Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators or Representatives, and Congress shall make no law that apples to the Senators or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States."

Now for the reality: the US House and Senate voted themselves raises of $4700 and $5300 respectively. But they voted NOT to give you a SS cost of living raise in 2010 and 2011.

Medicare premiums will go up $285.60 for the two years, and you will not get the 3% COLA, which would be $660 per year.

Total two year loss to is $1600 or $3200 for a husband and wife. Yet over the same two years the House and Senate each get $10,000 raises.

They are all exempt from Obamacare and can stay on their Cadillac plans with us paying the bill for them.

And it's obvious the tax codes don't apply to many of the Obama-ites, since so many of them have figured out ways to fraudulently not pay their taxes.

Go you think the cost of drugs, doctors, taxes, food, clothing, fuel, etc., will increase? Absolutely. But that won't affect the Kings and Queens in Washington. They got a better raise and better benefits that should more than cover any increased costs.

Pretty obvious that Nancy, Harry, Chris, Charles, Barack, Ron Kind, et al, don't care about us.

But in 2010 we will have a chance to FIRE THEM! We can get rid of the sitting Congress, meaning 100% of the House, and up to 1/3 of the Senate.

MAKE SURE YOU ARE STILL ANGRY IN NOVEMBER 2010 AND TELL THEIR REPLACEMENTS THAT YOU WILL BE WATCHING THEM. IF THEY DON'T DO THE JOB THEY WERE ELECTED TO DO, THEY TOO CAN BE REPLACED UNTIL WE RESTORE FISCAL SANITY TO WASHINGTON - NO MATTER HOW LONG IT TAKES!
