So the government is going to handle our healthcare?

THINK OF IT THIS WAY --

A clunker that travels 12,000 miles a year at 15 mpg uses 800 gal of gas a year.
A vehicle that travels 12,000 miles a year at 25 mpg uses 480 gal of gas a year.
So the average Cash for Clunkers transaction reduced US gas consumption by 320 gal per year.
The government "cashed" out 700,000 clunkers for 224 mill gal of gas saved.
That is slightly over 5 million barrels of oil., ab out 5 hours worth of US oil consumption.
5 mill barrels of oil at $70 p/barrell is about $350 million dollars.
So, the government paid $3 billion of YOUR tax dollars to save $350 million.
They spent $8.57 for every dollar saved.

They should do an outstanding job with healthcare, don't you think?
