What's your government up to?  Regulations guaranteed to shut down family farms for good.  There is no end to Washington's intrusion into our lives.  This time it's Obama's Labor Department proposing new regulations covering what farm chores kids can perform on family farms.  Old McDonald will soon be a thing of the past.

So what was wrong with the good old days?  My Grandpa had a small Ford tractor.  He farmed 40 acres with that little beast.  I used to ride on the fender over the big dangerous tires, hanging on to the fender.  Sometimes I got to ride in front with Grandpa, where I was allowed to steer, other times standing behind him and hanging onto him.  I got to play in the hay mow when baled hay came flying off the end of the elevator.  My job?  Stack the bales as best I could.  I was very young, by the way.  When the hay was baled I got to ride on the wagon and move the bales out of the way as they came out of the baler.  Funny I didn't die, it was such dangerous work.  But hey, I spent my summers on the farm and I helped out.  A very simple concept.

But not under the new regulations being rubber stamped by Washington.  Talk about stupidity?  With the current overload of regulations and rules America doesn't stand a chance - neither do family farms.  I say we should Cook Their Goose come November.  What do you think?

Rev. McJunkins of Springfield's Union Baptist Church and USAction's William McNary rile up a union crowd during an Illinois appearanc by WI Gov. Scott Walker. These two loud mouths engage in fierce rhetoric to agitate a union crowd of thousands. It appears that the union thugs are threatening Walker’s safety. What do you do with a large crowd once you’ve incited them with angry hateful rhetoric? How do you stop them if they get whipped into violence? You don't!

This is the result of Obama’s Class Warfare garbage. The unions think they are “entitled” to more and more, while the citizens paying the bills just keep on paying more and more. It has to stop somewhere and sometime, and Scott Walker is putting a stop to it in WI. Stay strong, Gov. Walker, June 5 is right around the corner. On that date the Recall fiasco will be behind you and you can concentrate on doing more good things for WI.

Remember 2009 when thousands of people turned out in Michigan to get some free "Obama Money?" The woman who proudly proclaimed Obama was going to pay for her house and her gas? And we American Worker Bees were appalled at the audacity of other Americans who believed Obama was going to give them "free" money.
Well, it's now happened again in NYC. Yep, people are lining up because they heard they could get a free Obama debit card loaded with $1,000 in stimulus dollars. Scary, that there are so many stupid people in this country, and even scarier that they vote!

Turns out the so-called free card was a giant scam, and yet hundreds of people handed over their Social Security card, their state issued ID card, and other personal information. In exchange for their personal info they got a "free Obama debit card worth $1,000" which turned out to have nothing, zero, zip, nada, no value at all.

Guess you can't fix stupid. They are stupid for thinking they are entitled to something for nothing. They are stupid for standing in line waiting to get something for nothing. They are stupid to hand over their Social Security number and other personal information hoping to get something for nothing. They are stupid to think they are entitled to something for nothing. They are stupid for believing there is a free lunch. These people represent 50 years of Welfare America. The liberal agenda has destroyed millions of lives, and Here's The Result. And remember, THE "STUPIDS" VOTE!

CNS News reported yesterday that the federal government spent $205,075 in 2010 to relocate a single bush in San Francisco. Seems the bush in question stood in the way of a billion dollar highway renovation project that was funded by Obama’s economic stimulus plan which he signed in 2009.

A government botanist, a government ecologist and a government biologist all declared that the plant known as the Franciscan Manzanita was rare and needed to be saved from the ravages of steel and cement. Good Grief, the Government has too many “ists” working for it.

But back to the story. The original cost to move the plant was not the only cost incurred by American taxpayers. Uncle Sam issued a contract for $7,025 to a company to test the bush’s chromosomes. Uncle Sam issued a contract to fund the input, guidance and advice of a qualified Manzanita expert. Uncle Sam provided $5,000 to each of 3 botanical gardens to “nurture” the root of the plant. Uncle Sam provided $1,500 for long-term seed storage of seeds collected from the plant. The plant is now protected by a fence, which Uncle Sam also paid for, and its location is kept secret so the plant does not “get trampled to death.” Nice to have a Rich Uncle, don't you think?

All this for a plant that is not on the endangered species list, is considered a wild plant, and can be bought at any nursery for $15.98 to $18.00 per bush.

More information that'll turn you red? Prior to the discovery of this lone, single Franciscan Manzanita plant the U. S. Interior Department had considered the plant to be extinct – except, of course, in people’s yards and gardens, where they are found in abundance.

This is just another amazingly stupid expenditure from the Obama stimulus bill. It’s your economic stimulus dollars at work. Obama should be proud. His name is on the side of the
highway that just spent $205,000 to move one plant that you can buy anywhere for about 20 bucks.

Remember this when you have to pay your taxes on April 15. Remember this the next time Obama shows up on TV yowling about the Buffett Rule and the rich aren’t paying their fair share, and the government has to close the budget gap by stealing more tax dollars from us.

Well, how about this, Mr. O.? I think I’m going to buy a couple hundred "rare" Manzanita bushes at my local nursery, and I'm going to plant them in the medians of America’s highways. Then I’m going to “discover” this very rare plant, report the discovery to you big spenders in Washington, and the government can hire me as an expert plant mover. At $205,000 a bush, it won’t be long and I’ll be a millionaire, thanks to my rich and stupid Uncle in Washington.

Here's a reprint of a column in the American Thinker written by Matt Patterson. He says what millions of us believe. And he is so right about The Affirmative Action President.

Obama: The Affirmative Action President by Matt Patterson, columnist, American Thinker

Years from now, historians may regard the 2008 election of Barack Obama as an inscrutable and disturbing phenomenon, a baffling breed of mass hysteria akin perhaps to the witch craze of the Middle Ages. How, they will wonder, did a man so devoid of professional accomplishment beguile so many into thinking he could manage the world's largest economy, direct the world's most powerful military, execute the world's most consequential job?

Imagine a future historian examining Obama's pre-presidential life: ushered into and through the Ivy League despite unremarkable grades and test scores along the way; a cushy non-job as a "community organizer"; a brief career as a state legislator devoid of legislative achievement (and in fact nearly devoid of his attention, so often did he vote "present"); and finally an unaccomplished single term in the United States Senate, the entirety of which was devoted to his presidential ambitions. He left no academic legacy in academia, authored no signature legislation as a legislator.

And then there is the matter of his troubling associations: the white-hating, America-loathing preacher who for decades served as Obama's"spiritual mentor"; a real-life, actual terrorist who served as Obama's colleague and political sponsor. It is easy to imagine a future historian looking at it all and asking: how on Earth was such a man elected president?

Not content to wait for history, the incomparable Norman Podhoretz addressed the question recently in the Wall Street Journal: To be sure, no white candidate who had close associations with an outspoken hater of America like Jeremiah Wright and an unrepentant terrorist like Bill Ayers, would have lasted a single day. But because Mr. Obama was black, and therefore entitled in the eyes of liberaldom to have hung out with protesters against various American injustices, even if they were a bit extreme, he was given a pass.

Let that sink in: Obama was given a pass -- held to a lower standard -- because of the color of his skin. Podhoretz continues: And in any case, what did such ancient history matter when he was also so articulate and elegant and (as he himself had said) "non-threatening," all of which gave him a fighting chance to become the first black president and thereby to lay the curse of racism to rest?

Podhoretz puts his finger, I think, on the animating pulse of the Obama phenomenon -- affirmative action. Not in the legal sense, of course. But certainly in the motivating sentiment behind all affirmative action laws and regulations, which are designed primarily to make white people, and especially white liberals, feel good about themselves.

Unfortunately, minorities often suffer so that whites can pat themselves on the back. Liberals routinely admit minorities to schools for which they are not qualified, yet take no responsibility for the inevitable poor performance and high drop-out rates which follow. Liberals don't care if these minority students fail; liberals aren't around to witness the emotional devastation and deflated self esteem resulting from the racist policy that is affirmative action. Yes, racist.

Holding someone to a separate standard merely because of the color of his skin -- that's affirmative action in a nutshell, and if that isn't racism, then nothing is. And that is what America did to Obama.

True, Obama himself was never troubled by his lack of achievements, but why would he be? As many have noted, Obama was told he was good enough for Columbia despite undistinguished grades at Occidental; he was told he was good enough for the US Senate despite a mediocre record in Illinois ; he was told he was good enough to be president despite no record at all in the Senate. All his life, every step of the way, Obama was told he was good enough for the next step, in spite of ample evidence to the contrary. What could this breed if not the sort of empty narcissism on display every time Obama speaks?

In 2008, many who agreed that he lacked executive qualifications nonetheless raved about Obama's oratory skills, intellect, and cool character. Those people -- conservatives included -- ought now to be deeply embarrassed. The man thinks and speaks in the hoariest of clich├ęs, and that's when he has his teleprompter in front of him; when the prompter is absent he can barely think or speak at all. Not one original idea has ever issued from his mouth -- it's all warmed-over Marxism of the kind that has failed over and over again for 100 years.

And what about his character? Obama is constantly blaming anything and everything else for his troubles. Bush did it; it was bad luck; I inherited this mess. It is embarrassing to see a president so willing to advertise his own powerlessness, so comfortable with his own incompetence. But really, what were we to expect? The man has never been responsible for anything, so how do we expect him to act responsibly?

In short: our president is a small and small-minded man, with neither the temperament nor the intellect to handle his job. When you understand that, and only when you understand that, will the current erosion of liberty and prosperity make sense. It could not have gone otherwise with such a man in the Oval Office.

Oh, Joe, say it ain’t so, you stuck your foot in your mouth again. You sure are good for a grin and a giggle. But boy, I am glad you finally told the truth, even though you embarrassed yourself yet again when you stated you had stayed in the Senate for 36 years because you didn’t want to get a “real job .”
You sure echoed the contemptuous criticism millions of us “real job” holders feel towards career politicians, like you, Joe. What, you don’t remember your exact quote while you were speaking at a Democratic fundraiser in Chicago Thursday night? You don’t think you said it? Well, Joe, just in case your do nothing job has allowed your mind to get lazy, here is exactly what you said.
“I never had an interest in being a mayor, ‘cause that’s a real job. You have to produce. That’s why I was able to be a Senator for 36 years.”
In other words, Joey Baby, for 36 years as a Senator from Delaware you produced nothing? Well, that explains the complete mess the country is in. You, along with others in
Washington don’t have “real jobs” and you produce nothing. Don’t we all know it.
Hey, Joe, I just remembered how you took Sarah Palin apart in 2008 for being inexperienced because she was only a former small town mayor and only had two years under her belt as Alaska’s governor. You, Obama and the Dems trounced all over her inexperience as being a reason to keep McCain/Palin out of the White House. But according to your recent
statement, a “mayor” is “a real job” and a senator is not. Got anything to say now? Do you wish to retract? I doubt it. You’re too busy doing nothing.
So now the truth is out, spoken from your own mouth. You haven’t held a “real job” in 36 years,
thanks to the Delaware voters. And to think we are going to have to support you when you retire until the day you die. We've paid your wages for 36 do-nothing years, and we will pay your retirement for more of your do-nothing years. Makes me want to puke.
One last thing, Joseph, in the same speech you said you and Obama couldn’t be beaten by “those candidates,” meaning any of the Republicans. You said if you are beaten it will be by
something happening in the Eurozone or something happening in the Gulf, or you would be beaten by “this barrage of super PAC money.” Are you joking? Hasn’t Barry told you that donations to your PACs and campaign are expected to be a cool billion dollars? Are you out of Barry’s loop, Joe? Better look out, you might be retiring sooner than you think.
I believe that any of the Republican candidates will beat your team hands down, but go ahead and stay cocky and arrogant and dismissive of the American electorate. You and your compatriot in the White House, along with many in the House and Senate, will be beaten in November, and it will be for no other reason than that Americans are sick of all of you.
And I say Good Riddance.

Remember the Green Bay Packer vs. Vikings game in November, 2011? This is what ESPN failed to show us. They ran commercials instead, so the television viewing public was cut out of this extraordinary salute to our Veterans.
Those who attended the game said it was extremely emotional to see the entire bowl of the stadium turn red, white and blue. It took 90 workers two weeks to get all of
the colored pages mounted under each seat. Each piece of card board had eye
slits in them so the fans could hold up the colored sheet and watch the game
through the eye slits.
Here's the video. See the still photos above for a breathtaking view. Thank you Green Bay.
