WEDDINGS, BIRTHDAYS, BAR MITZVAHS, ANNIVERSARIES?

WEDDINGS, BIRTHDAYS, BAR MITZVAHS, ANNIVERSARIES – WHAT’S NEXT, FUNERALS AND THE TOOTH FAIRY??
The Greatest Fund Raising Machine Ever needs an infusion of enthusiasm.  In Georgia last week there was a Half –Price-Obama-Press-The-Flesh event.  Georgia Democrats had to reduce ticket prices by 50% to fill the hall for the presentation of The One.  The ticket price went from $500 to $250 when it became apparent that the event would not be sold out at full price.  The Dems are Dejected in Georgia.
And now desperation has taken over and stupidity has set in.  The Obama Campaign is asking couples to forgo wedding gifts and donate to his campaign instead.  Talk about a gimmick!  Check it out.  It’s called the “Obama Event Registry,” and you really need to see it HERE.    It pleads for anyone with an upcoming birthday, anniversary or wedding to “support the President on your big day” by asking for donation money “in lieu of a gift.”

Obama’s pitch?  “Instead of another gift card you'll forget to use, ask your friends and family for something that will go a little further: a donation to Obama for America. Register your next celebration--whether it's a birthday, bar mitzvah, wedding, or anniversary--with the Obama campaign. It's a great way to show your support for a cause that's important to you on your big day."

Or “Got a birthday, anniversary or wedding coming up?”  “Let your friends know how important this election is to you – register with Obama 2012 and ask for a donation in lieu of a gift.  It’s a great way to support the President on your big day.”

The site provides suggested language for couples to use when soliciting campaign cash. "For my big day, I'd like to show my support for a cause I believe in — re-electing President Obama," it reads. "That's why I'm asking my friends and family to donate to the Obama campaign. Thanks for chipping in!"

And if you are not into using “gift registries” you can “Throw Bo A Bone On His Anniversary,” Bo being the Obama house dog and the “bone” being a campaign contribution.   “The first dog is wagging his tail in anticipation,” the solicitation read.

But you do get something in return.  Obama has a very extensive product line showcased in the Obama on-line store. The products all have Obama logos or slogans, but they are not for sale.  The items are premiums given in exchange for contributions.  Sure hope his campaign is paying for these items, not the U. S. taxpayer.

This Obama act of desperation clearly indicates that donor support for Obama has fallen off a cliff compared to 2008. The Weekly Standard says contributions are down, down, down from last time.

So just asking, just curious, Obama right-hand-lackey, Valerie Jarrett, has a daughter who recently got married.  I wonder if all the guests were required/asked/suggested or threatened with broken kneecaps or cement booties to make their wedding gifts payable to the Obama re-election campaign?

  1. I almost lost my mind when I read this.
To think, this man and his cohorts really think the world revolves around them. His campaign people are classic examples of "how stupid do they think we are" when they put something like this out front.
    OMG, I still might puke.
