US Tax Dollars Spent To Refurbish Mosques Worldwide

Have you seen the news about taxpayers in the recession ridden USA paying to refurbish mosques around the world? Google the subject and check it out for yourselves. The Obama administration this year will spend nearly $6 million OF OUR TAX DOLLARS to restore 63 "historic and cultural sites and mosques" in 55 countries, according to State Department documents.

This includes $76,125 for a 16th century Grand Mosque in China; $67,500 for an 18th century Golden Mosque in Pakistan (they love us in Pakistan, don't they?); $62,169 spent on a 19th century minaret in Mauritania; $50,437 for a 16th century Islamic Monument in New Delhi; $15,450 for an 18th century Bogarau Minaret in Nigeria; a recent ribbon cutting ceremony to reopen the 12th century Kizimkazi Mosque in Tanzania; refurbishing the Amr Edn El Aas Mosque in Cairo (we're their favorite sugar daddy too). What are these countries spending their oil revenues on? Probably weapons, tank, planes, terrorists, and lining the pockets of the aristocracy that rules many of these countries.

This US government program has spent $26 million dollars on "cultural preservation projects in more than 100 countries" since 2001. So the blame goes to Obama and Bush. And much of it is being spent to refurbish mosques for a religion that hates us and wants us dead, or it is being spent in countries that are not friendly to us in any way. What in the world is Washington thinking in allowing this type of stupidity to continue?

Obama was elected to "fundamentally change" America. Obviously changing America does not include reducing spending when Obama has continued to spend on such unnecessary projects in other countries. Does Obama not realize WE DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY FOR THIS TYPE OF THING? We are BROKE!

Liberals are the first to scream separation of church and state, and they would never allow the government to spend money on refurbishing churches/mosques/etc within our own country. This is a spit in the eye of all Americans. It's another example of why everyone in Washington needs to be replaced. They are all complicit in allowing this type of junk expenditure to continue.

I could say "spend the money here" but I WANT THEM TO STOP SPENDING PERIOD.
